Casement Windows
Types of CASEMENT WINDOWS
There are three types, Flush casement, Flush stormproof and storm proof.
Flush casement have the sashes flush with the frame, these are normally on older properties.
Storm proof, the sashes sit proud of the frame with an additional rebate sitting on the frame, this is to help deflect driving weather away and help prevent it from getting in.
Flush stormproof, this is a combination of both storm proof and a flush casement, with the look of a flush casement but the additional rebate to help protect against driving weather.

Materials used
Like our doors we offer an Accoya option for less maintenance and a 50year guarantee, however we also offer an additional hardwood option.
The reason we still offer hard wood widows is due to the smaller section size of components, we believe over the course of a year it has less swelling and shrinking of the timber. This offers a reduction in the cost over the Accoya however loses some benefits such as more maintenance over the coming years and no timber guarantee.
Hardware
All of our casement hardware is brass of stainless steel making it suitable for Accoya or Hardwood. All the fixtures used in the manufacturer are stainless steel to ensure longevity no matter which timber you choose.

Security
Like our doors most of our casement windows use espagnolette (multi point) locks to maximize security along the full window, pared with friction hinges hidden to the elements creates a long lasting secure window.
